MATHIAS Auction House has been working and organizing auctions in Paris and in the world since 1971.

Jean-Jacques MATHIAS, who founded the company, has organised some of the greatest sales in France with the LANZ library, the Collection of Modern Paintings from Claude Henry LEVY, and the DORA MAAR succession in 1998, he also organised auction wine auctions in Japan promoting French wine, and thanks to his knowledge he presided the auctions of great restaurants LE DOYEN and FAUGERON wine cellar.

Charles de BOURNAZEL, the new Chairman has been working with M. MATHIAS for the last ten years during which they have organized many great auctions of which A. de GUNZBURG, René DOMERGUE, Jean BERNARD, Jean GUYOT, Marquis de LA GRANGE.

We are now a performing auction house using all the technologies at our disposal and working mainly with l’hôtel Drouot.
